Rail Safety Systems are designed not only to protect the doors, but to protect personnel inside the plant.

  • Traffic lights per Railroad Regulations indicate to the rail personnel "Safe" and "Unsafe" conditions.
  • Traffic light interlocked with the "Full Open" limit on the door.
  • Wheel Sensors Detect the train.
  • Derails prevent train from entering door opening until conditions are safe.
  • Remote radio operation can notify plant personnel that trains are approaching.

Rail safety systems are also used in Steel Mills and Other processes.

  • Collision Avoidance Systems alert operator of potential collision
  • "In Cab" radio alert signals operator of impending collision.
  • "Dead Zone Radio Alert" ties into the existing engine radio control system and "Shuts Down the Engine" when there is a potential for a collision.
